John Miller, CGCS, graduated from Ohio State University in 1983 and became a golf course superintendent the following week. He has worked at private clubs, as well as high-end daily fee and municipal golf courses. He has gone through two construction and grow-ins and has been the host golf course superintendent for five PGA Tour Nationwide events. Miller most recently served as the first agronomist for the LPGA Tour, covering events all over the world.
Miller has been a member of two different chapters and served as president of the Miami Valley Golf Course Superintendents Association. He has taught three different seminar subjects for GCSAA and has been a speaker in three different countries. In 2008 he authored a book titled, "Tournament Management: A Superintendent's Guide to Preparing a Golf Course for Competition."
Miller's father and grandfather were golf course superintendents, and his son is currently pursuing a turf management degree from Ohio State University.
