Certification Portfolio Templates

Below are "optional" templates designed to help you complete the GCSAA Certification Portfolio. The links will take you to the nine work samples, 15 skill statements, and a single template for use with the eight case study scenarios. Save these Microsoft word documents to your own PC and then simply type in your responses where indicated. Each template allows you to type in as much text as needed.

Cover Sheets

A cover sheet, included with each template, must also be filled out. After completion of all portfolio items, place your responses and cover sheets in a three-ring binder. Three copies (three notebooks) are required. You will need to send two copies with your certification application and keep the third copy for your records.

Helpful Hints

• Make your portfolio a professional document.
• Consider using tabs for each section.
• Be thorough in your responses.
• Realize that certified superintendents are expected to produce high quality work; therefore excessive misspelled words and misuse of grammar and punctuation are not acceptable.

You can begin working on your portfolio any time during your career, so at the time you qualify to apply to the program you will be ready to submit your completed portfolio with your certification application. As an applicant in the program, your portfolio will be submitted to a two-member team of judges for scoring.
