The "never-ever" list of phrases

You wouldn't try to put out a fire with gasoline--the following phrases can have the same explosive results with angry customers. Use them at your own peril!

  • That's not my job
  • I don't know.
  • That's the best I can do.
  • No.
  • It's not my department.
  • We have no control over that.
  • I can't.
  • Calm down.
  • You shouldn't have done that.
  • That's not our fault.
  • You'll have to call back later.
  • That's against our company policy.
  • There's nothing I can do about it.
