The "never-ever" list of phrases
You wouldn't try to put out a fire with gasoline--the following phrases can have the same explosive results with angry customers. Use them at your own peril!
- That's not my job
- I don't know.
- That's the best I can do.
- No.
- It's not my department.
- We have no control over that.
- I can't.
- Calm down.
- You shouldn't have done that.
- That's not our fault.
- You'll have to call back later.
- That's against our company policy.
- There's nothing I can do about it.
