Certification eligibility for non-grandfathered members
All other members (with the exception of Grandfathered C's) or members who have joined after July 1, 2003 wanting to pursue certification, will qualify as applicants by:
- Attaining Class A status as defined in the entry level requirements outlined in the Class A Code of Standards
- Maintaining Class A status for one year
- Earning an additional five education points after attainment of Class A
- Self-assessing their competencies as outlined in the Professional Development Resource (PDR)
Grandfathered Class C
To become eligible for the certification program, Grandfathered Class C members, in addition to meeting the years' of superintendent experience and total education/service point requirement as defined by their level of education within the Class A sliding scale, must also earn an additional one year of superintendent experience and an additional five education points. (The additional five education points must be earned after attaining Class A status.)
