How to get started

When GCSAA implemented member standards to earn and maintain Class A membership, a grandfathered status for Class A was given to those members who were Class A, Superintendent Members or Class C on 6/30/03. The Class A and SM also received a certification grandfathered status. The certification grandfathered status means that up through 7/1/2008 and 7/1/2011 respectively, these Class A and Superintendent Members will be allowed to qualify for certification eligibility under the requirements that were in effect on 6/30/03.

For those not having the certification grandfathered status, new eligibility requirements aligining with entry-level requirements to Class A was implemented. As a result, there are two separate entry-level requirements to determine your eligibility to apply to the certification program.

Step 1 – determine your eligibility requirements

Were you a Class A or Superintendent Member on 6/30/03? If so, select grandfathered Class A and SM to determine your eligibility requirement to become an applicant in GCSAA’s Certification program.

If not, select non-grandfathered to determine your eligibility requirement to become an applicant in GCSAA’s Certification Program.

If you are unsure of your grandfathered status, contact Penny Mitchell.
