Gift maintains chapter’s position as a Platinum Tee Club Member.
Lawrence, Kan. (Jan. 04, 2022) – The Minnesota Golf Course Superintendents Association has donated $5,000 to the GCSAA Foundation, the philanthropic organization of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). With this donation, the chapter remains in the GCSAA Foundation’s Platinum Tee Club. The program recognizes organizations that give $5,000 annually to the GCSAA Foundation.
“The MGCSA appreciates that by working together, our combined resources can elevate all parties involved to a new plateau,” MGCSA President Scott Thayer said. “The MGCSA membership has benefited from the philanthropic entity and is in the fortunate position to continue financial support of the GCSAA Foundation. Together, we really are better!”
The Minnesota GCSA is also recognized in the Governor’s Club giving level of the GCSAA Foundation’s Cumulative Giving Program. The Governor’s Club recognizes donors who have given between $50,000 and $99,999 since 1987.
“The Minnesota GCSA has been a steadfast supporter of the GCSAA Foundation for more than 30 years,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said. “We are sincerely grateful for their ongoing generosity and patronage of the GCSAA Foundation, which has undoubtedly advanced the golf course management profession by funding research, education, scholarships and advocacy.”
The Minnesota GCSA was founded in 1927 and is one of 97 GCSAA-affiliated chapters in North America.
