Lawrence, Kan. (Oct. 22, 2024) – Kelli Norwood has been promoted to director of learning and career development for the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA). She has been a part of the GCSAA staff for the last 12 years.

In her new role, Norwood will provide leadership and guidance for GCSAA’s learning and development programs and initiatives, including career development, e-learning, external education, certification and certificate programs and education for the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show.

Norwood joined the GCSAA team in March 2012 as curriculum specialist. In January 2015, she was promoted to senior manager, curriculum, where she made significant contributions to educational programs and curriculum development.

Over the past several months, Norwood has successfully led the learning and career department in an acting capacity, while continuing to manage her existing responsibilities.

“Kelli’s experience and continued dedication to GCSAA members were key factors in her well-deserved promotion,” GCSAA CEO Rhett Evans said.  “She has an incredible ability to understand and manage the evolving educational needs of our members. I look forward to working with her in this new role as we continue to support our members’ professional development.”

Norwood officially began her new position on Oct. 19.

“I’m thrilled for the opportunity to lead the Learning and Career Development team at GCSAA and deliver education that makes a positive impact on our members,” Norwood said. “Over the past 12 years, I’ve been fortunate to learn from GCSAA members in many roles and from all walks of life. As the industry evolves, I look forward to continuing to listen, learn, and collaborate with members, educators, all our industry partners, and the amazing team at GCSAA to keep delivering on our mission together.”
