Although winter is still officially a couple weeks out, the weather definitely feels as if winter is here — thanks, Ned Stark. With the ground freezing and activities on the course slowing down slightly, we find ourselves focusing more on indoor activities, which includes continuing education.
GCSAA understands learning is a lifelong commitment that does not stop when you leave the classroom. GCSAA webinars offer superintendents, assistants, equipment managers and those in the golf course management industry with the resources they need to stay at their best and continue their education. With that in mind, this week I’m highlighting GCSAA webinars.
20. GCSAA Webinars
Webinars focus on a plethora of topics, from agronomy to business and everything in between. GCSAA members can access webinars through the My Learning Hub link on the GCSAA.org homepage.
In 2021, 15,452 live and on-demand webinars were viewed, up from 3,493 in 2011. More than 110,000 participants took GCSAA webinars from 2005-2021, including industry partner webinars, which began in 2014.
Just this fall, associate editor of GCM Howard Richman wrote a great piece on GCSAA’s webinars.
As you work through the winter months and continue your education, I hope you’re able to take advantage of the webinars through GCSAA; to not only improve your facility, but improve yourself as well.
