Divine Providence
GCM is hitting the road this month for the New England Regional Turf Foundation’s annual conference and trade show in Providence, R.I. Editor Scott Hollister will begin reporting from the Ocean State on March 3, so tune into GCM’s blog, From the Desk of GCM, for live reports from the show floor.

Winding down
Time is running out for GCSAA Class A and SM members interested in taking part in the pesticide usage study that is a part of GCSAA’s Golf Course Environmental Profile Project. Members have until March 15 to complete this phase of the project and will be awarded .50 service points for participating, as well as be eligible for a number of prizes. You can begin the survey here.

Interested in following government activities at the federal, state and local levels that impact both the industry of golf course management and the day-to-day activities of superintendents? Then the advocacy section of GCSAA’s Web site is for you. You can track current federal, state and local legislation, study up on GCSAA’s priority issues for the current calendar year and find out how you can become active in influencing the work of your government.
