Henkel selected to Advisory Council
Herbert L. Henkel, chairman, president and CEO of Ingersoll-Rand, has been selected to join The Environmental Institute for Golf's Advisory Council.
The Advisory Council provides guidance to The Institute's board of trustees in the areas of outreach, fundraising and strategic planning. The Advisory Council is headed by World Golf Hall of Fame member Greg Norman. "Herb is a great addition to The Institute's Advisory Council," said Norman, chairman and CEO of Great White Shark Enterprises. "He is a person who is passionate about golf and ensuring its vitality. He will provide solid leadership and critical thought to our work."

One of Ingersoll-Rand's companies, Club Car, has supported The Institute through gifts to the annual silent auction, "Investing in the Beauty of Golf" endowment campaign and annual Platinum Tee Club donations. The Platinum Tee Club is the giving club for organizations that contribute a minimum of $5,000 annually to The Institute. Club Car is also recognized at the Presidential Club level in the cumulative giving program for organizations which have given $100,000 - $250,000 since 1987.
ScottsMiracle-Gro announces departure of Aronowitz
The ScottsMiracle-Gro Co. has announced that David M. Aronowitz, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary, has decided to leave the company effective immediately. A replacement has not yet been determined.
The company emphasized that the departure was not related to the company's performance or concerns about its financial controls or legal strategy.
"Dave made very significant contributions to ScottsMiracle-Gro during his tenure, and I will miss his leadership, involvement and counsel," said Jim Hagedorn, chairman and chief executive officer. "While we are hopeful that Dave will remain engaged in some of our existing litigation efforts, we also are fortunate to have a strong and experienced legal team."
Turfline adds Richardson to sales team Michael Richardson has joined the Turfline Inc. sales staff as national accounts manager. He is responsible for approximately half of the United States sales region.
Previously, he worked for an irrigation distributor in Oklahoma and has also held a variety of golf course maintenance positions over the past 13 years, including two years as a golf course superintendent.
Cross hired as Spectrum national business manager
Spectrum Technologies Inc. has named Nathan Cross as national business manager. He previously was with Monsanto and Valent USA.
