Car rental
Avis is the official car rental company for GCSAA. To take advantage of the discounts available to you, you must make your reservation through Golf Industry Travel.
Taxicabs
Taxis are readily available on the streets of New Orleans and at the airport. A cab ride from the airport to the official conference hotels is approximately $35 for one person.
Airport Shuttle
Airport Shuttle New Orleans offers shuttle service to/from the airport and the downtown, French Quarter and convention center hotels.
Shuttle bus service
Hop on board the complimentary shuttle buses for a quick ride from your hotel to the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. Many hotels are close enough to the convention center that you can walk. Refer to the Hotel/Convention Center Locator Map to see which hotels are “walkable” and which are on the shuttle route.

- Tuesday, Feb. 3, 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, Feb. 4, 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
- Thursday, Feb. 5, 5:30 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday, Feb. 6, 5:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 7, 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
* Shuttles run every 10 to 20 minutes
* Shuttles will also run between hotels and special GCSAA evening events including:
- Welcoming Reception – Wednesday, Feb. 4, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m.
- President’s Reception – Friday, Feb. 6, 5:30 – 9 p.m.

New Orleans Streetcars
The New Orleans streetcar line services Canal Street from the Mississippi River to Mid-City. The historic St. Charles Avenue line extends to the Garden District and Napoleon Avenue. This New Orleans icon is a must-ride while you’re in New Orleans! |

Everyone who purchases airline tickets through Golf Industry Travel will be entered into a drawing for two round-trip tickets for travel in the continental United States. The winner will be notified within two weeks after the 2009 GCSAA Education Conference and the Golf Industry Show. |
