External education learning opportunities for members

GCSAA is committed to helping its members find quality education that is affordable, accessible and attainable.

Obtaining approval after attending a program
Have you attended an educational program that you believe should qualify for education points? If so, you, as a member, have up to 30 days after the event to apply for those education points. Complete the member application for education points.

How do you know if your program was preapproved?
At the end of the program, you should receive an approval code for the program. This approval code is used on the education point affidavit that must be submitted to GCSAA within 30 days of the event. If you did not receive this code, your program was not preapproved. To get the education points for attending, you will need to complete the member application for education points.

Obtaining approval prior to attending a program
Are you thinking of attending a program and want to know if the program will qualify for education points? In order to qualify for education points, a program must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide education relevant to the golf course management profession.
  • Have clearly defined learning objectives.
  • Have a minimum program length of one hour.
  • Must be non-commercial.

To apply for education points for a program, use this member application for education points. This application has been saved as a PDF file. Adobe's free Acrobat Reader must be installed on your computer to properly view the files.

Obtaining and recording education points for pre-approved education
At the end of a pre-approved program, you should receive an approval code. Use this code to complete the education point affidavit within 30 days of the event. If you did not receive this code, please contact your education provider for this code.
